Chapter 1
Alfa team
“Operations this is tango bravo, Alfa team, were under heavy suppressive fire, requesting an artillery barrage to keep their heads down, out.”Capt. Andrew Randall was almost pleading for approval. Even though his team had only been together A few weeks, they were already better than most.
“Alfa team, this is operations, request is denied, your gana hafta get yourselves outa there.” The other five members of Alfa team heard this unsatisfying answer.
“Alright were going to do this “ Andrews called over the whine of the SV-17 heavy mortar rounds being fired at them.
“French, Cox, Hays and fish, gear up and on my signal want you to fire a few singers over there; Merrill you follow me.
The team put on there ear protection and prepared two lancer-singer (loud and noisy combat ear represents), a none lethal way of drawing enemies attention and fire.
“Now.” Capt. Randall cried, Sergeant Ben Hays and medic 1st class John French, jumped over the car they were hiding behind and launched the lancer pods, Spc.Austin Fish and Prv 1st David Cox fired a clip from their Rm-34s to cover Capt. Randall and Radioman Jeremy Merrill, when they ran from a better position to fire from.
Randall and Merrill dove for cover behind some over turned trashcans. “Sarge Hays,” called Capt. Randall into the team radio.” I want you to take Cox and go left fast and find a better position to fire from, go when the lancers go off, oh, and keep your heads down. Out”
