I fixed the blog
I fixed the blog, yippee,
I couldn’t post this on a guys blog so bear with me, please
"A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of the fool pours forth foolishness.
Proverbs 15:1-2
Anonymous- I will begin by quoting, "He who heeds not rebukes, despises his own soul, but he who heeds, receives understanding.
I will try to use soft rebukes and answers, but must warn you taking someone’s rebuke and throwing it down, then immediately accusing and taking sides against me, rouses not only more argument, but also anger and folly.
Yes I did take offence, and yes I will answer my statements, but I would have respected your beliefs, if you would learn respect others. That, I believe is the reason for all the posts on this one entrée, disagreement is good, it insures that no one person can influence others, granted you probably are a neat guy, well versed in knowledge and wisdom of your own and from reading the other posts you have left, it seems that you rely tremendously on your own wisdom and question the all knowing wisdom of God.
All these answers, questions, and rebukes we all are giving, I do not think we are heeding or respecting difference of opinion.
Anonymous- The bible is the inspired word of the living God, this is not my argument, it is a solid fact, I do not pursue this very far, we believe in what we cannot see, the bible gives us a glimpse of the reason we are Christians, and the minute you begin questioning your faith you will fall into, well I don’t know, but I don’t want to go there. I don’t see your reason for picking and choosing certain verses as true and God inspired, but regarding others as false. You must either believe it all or believe none, its not something you can pick and choose, I mean Jesus didn’t decide, Ok im going to die for you and you, but well you said my name when you stubbed your toe, so your going to the bad place, sorry. No you cannot pick and choose.
" All scripture is God Inspired, and is profitable for doctrine, rebuking correction and training in rightessness."
2nd timothy 3:16
I am not declaring myself better than any one, putting my beliefs over yours, I do respect them, but I will defend mine from question and derogatory remarks, if you must make fun or drag down opinion you do it to your self, enough said.
Preacherman- I must say I would side with you on the ongoing dialogue that’s been going on, I would say to you, keep up the good work. You are a wise man, just respect others and don’t get caught up in Satans rightessness trap, it is very easy to fall into, I have found that out myself. " A soft answer turns away wrath" remember this.
All others concerned- We Christians do all believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead after defeating death, so that we were reconciled with God, then would have the option to believe in him and not perish but have eternal life in heaven, we do have arguments, and fights, after all we are still sinners and imperfect. But we all agree to the above stated. We may interpret this holy book called the bible differently, but, but I don’t want to give an alter call, so I will leave you with this,
If you need to hear the good news, talk with any one who professes Christ and they will be overjoyed to guide you to my father. I would be happy to guide everyone I could to God; the other option is not cool, if you get my jist.
We all share brotherhood through Our father God so we must love one another and forgive, I would ask for forgiveness for my quick tongue and remarks made in haste, and would offer forgiveness to all who ask of it.

Austin,
Anonymous is right you know. You could give him all the "proof" in the world, but unless he changed his mind it would not make it any more real to him. He must choose to accept and no arguing is going to change his mind. Arguing may aid in the process but just because you tell him he is wrong is not going to make him want to listen to you.
"the minute you begin questioning your faith you will fall into, well I don’t know, but I don’t want to go there"
Just because you question your faith doesn't mean you are going to fall away. When you question your faith it shows you care about what you believe. Unless you ask questions about it you won't know if what you believe is true or not.
(Anonymous, I beg your pardon if you are a girl. I'm afraid I have used pronouns as if you are a guy.)
"I respect your faith and your right to have it. But we can't have an honest discussion if you won't recognize that your belief in the inerrant Bible is a BELIEF, not a FACT."
What is a fact? How can you truly know? Just because you don't beleive something doesn't mean it's not true. Now, one could argue that in any direction they choose such as the moon being of cheese or Elvis being an alein, but that's beside the point. Saying something is a beleif and not a fact emplies that the beleif is not true. People have every right to beleive whatever they want, but saying all it is is a beleif and not a fact is going too far. I'm not saying we must tolerate every idea that comes into the streem of man, but you can't just say it's not true. I realize I'm being bold with this statment for one could use it against me. If one thing is true it's that life is faith. You can't get around it. You HAVE to put faith in SOMETHING in your life weither it be trusting your life to a bridge made by man or that there is a God out there it's all a matter of faith. Remmember that, and that truth is truth not because you beleive in it, but because it's simply truth. It's very hard to understand for us all, but truth is simply truth, nothing else.
Andrew,
Just because something is a fact does not mean it is the truth. Facts change, truth does not. It may be a fact that you have a belief that accepting Jesus Christ to be your savior is the only way to get to God, but whether you believe it or not, it is still the truth.
Another example of facts verses truth is the weather. The fact may be that it is raining outside, but the truth is it won't always be raining outside. The fact is if a person sins he is going to hell, but the truth is he doesn't have to go there if he makes the right decision.
Just because one believes something does not make it true. However, just because one does not believe something does not make it not true. If something is true, it is true whether one believes it or not. Now that we have decided that it is our choice of what we believe, how do we choose what to believe?
Anonymous, who says what is or is not true?
You are right about the fact issue and I totaly agree, but the way I addressed it was to the seemed emplication made by anonymous. The rest of what you said was just about the same as what I did.
Ok, this is not going to be very long and may seem out of place. But anyway.
Since ya'll ( excuse my country) were talking about faith here is what I think when I step out in faith.
My faith is based on FACT. The fact that my God, my Lord and Savior will be there. This fact will not change.
It is one of the Absolutes of my faith, A absolute of my relationship with Jesus Christ.
